Spanning a total 50,000 square feet in the strategically located Quill City Mall KL on Level 3 (Lot 63, 63B and 72), JDX Presto Concept Store hosts products from a host of brands covering categories such as Electrical Appliances, Gadgets, Health & Beauty, Home & Living, Fashion and Food & Beverage, with a total of up to 3,000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) from J.Zao, as well as other top selling products from China and the ASEAN region.
It is easy to begin shopping around the store. Shoppers just need to scan the QR code of their selected product with the Presto app and enjoy a hassle-free payment experience by checking out with the eWallet named PrestoPay in the app. Shoppers can opt for on-the-spot self-pickup or for convenient delivery to doorstep, supported by JD Logistics, the logistics affiliate of JD.com, China’s largest retailer.
Shoppers can take a break from their shopping sprees and enjoy some refreshments from the AI- and RFID-powered JDX Presto Unmanned Fridges, developed by JD Logistics’ logistics innovation lab, JDX, that are available at the in-store cafe. By scanning the displayed QR code with Presto app, shoppers are able to unlock the fridge and pick their favourite products off the shelves. Payment will be deducted from PrestoPay accordingly after the door is closed.
In line with the government’s roadmap to transform Malaysia into a cashless society, PUC has fully embraced digital finance, from the inclusion of PrestoPay to the introduction of micro-financing facility, PrestoPay Credit Financing to its ecosystem. At JDX Presto Concept Store, every transaction is cashless and seamless.
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PUC Berhad, CHEONG Chia Chou said, “We proudly launched Presto two years ago, and along the way, our teams have worked relentlessly to gradually enrich Presto with various digital offerings. Today truly marks a great milestone on our journey, with the grand opening of our first ever O2O store. We are excited to extend to Malaysians the opportunity to first explore JDX innovations via PrestoMall and then complete the shopping journey by visiting JDX Presto Concept Store or vice versa, as we believe that the integrated experience is important for consumers to touch and feel the actual products, providing a sense of certainty to consumers with lesser or no experience in online purchase.”
Cheong added, “The symbol for Presto is a rabbit. It was chosen as the central character due to its fun-loving personality, its alertness, its ability to navigate challenges effortlessly, and the way it sprints and leaps at lightning speed, reflecting the brand’s propensity for growth. With the launch of our first O2O store, shoppers are welcome to meet and take a photo with Presto, doubling the joy of shopping with fun and interactive elements. Presto-themed merchandise is also available in the store for Presto lovers.”
Founder of Smuzcity, Kent Lee Kian Yan shared, “We are proud to leverage JDX technology to bring increased cashless convenience to shoppers in Malaysia through homegrown super app Presto.”
“Ever picture yourself shopping in shopping mall without your wallet? With a smartphone in hand, your shopping journey is now good to go. Together with PUC, we are committed to add a touch of innovation to the retail scene, redefining and shaping a unique O2O shopping experience for Malaysians,” Lee added.
Official venue partner, Group Executive Director of Quill Group of Companies, Dato’ Ar. Michael Ong said, “Our retail mall offers utmost support to the adoption of digital payment that is a win-win for both shoppers and sellers. Back in May, Presto held their first Cashless Raya Bazaar at Quill City Mall KL to encourage and educate consumers to go cashless while shopping for their Raya needs, which saw a success. We are more than delighted to be part of their adventure in the retail scene.”
Senior Vice President of Quill City Mall KL, Justin Liew added, “As Quill City Mall KL is repositioning itself towards the ‘phygital’ era, JDX Presto Concept Store is very much aligned with the direction we are moving forward. That focuses on consumer-centric technology infrastructure that facilitates the interactions between the consumers and brands. Thus, we are very excited to be able to collaborate with both parties closely in a set of exciting activities; such as, expanding home-grown brands to the international platform.”
In conjunction with the grand opening of JDX Presto Concept Store, the first 300 shoppers will be eligible to purchase selected SKUs at only RM12.12, limited to one item per shopper. Queuing starts at 8am and the doors are open to public at 11am on 12 December 2019. Continuing the celebration, until 15 December 2019, shoppers can spot and scan QR codes placed in the store and the mall to earn free PrestoPay Credits, which can then be spent in store and on any services on Presto.
Adding to the shopping pleasure, 5 shoppers who spend a minimum of RM50 in the store with PrestoPay from 12 December 2019 to 31 December 2019 will have a chance to win a pair of Hong Kong Disneyland Theme Park admission tickets.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 12, 2019 /PRWIRE.asia/ -- Sharifah Sisters to Launch Jewellery Collection
From Left to Right : Tania / Partner of Bythian Accessories, Teresa Thian / Founder Of Bythian, Sharifah Amani, Sharifah Aleya, Fatimah Abu Bakar (Sharifahsisters’s mother), Syed Zainal Rashid (Sharifahsisters’s father), Sharifah Aleysha, Sharifah Aryana, Thian Siew Kim / Co- Founder of Bythian
‘Sisters for Sisters’ may very well be the tagline for SharifahSistersXByThian, a luxury jewellery collection to be launched on December 6, 2019.
Inspired by some of nature’s tiny beautiful creatures, SharifahSisters, in collaboration with ByThian, will proudly present its first ever luxury jewellery collection designed by the Sharifah sisters.
The Sharifah sisters – Aleya, Amani, Aleysha and Aryana – are known in the entertainment industry as actors, directors, producers, writers and show hosts. They have recently added public relations to their list.
A team-up with ByThian, a Malaysian women’s apparel and jewellery line founded and owned by the Thian sisters, Teresa and Siew Kim, led to the creation of an exquisitely young and vibrant collection of jewellery inspired by these personalities and their fascination for fireflies, butterflies, dragonflies, lady bugs and ants.
“It was challenging to come up with one major concept to represent four strong personalities, so we went with capturing the essence of who they are individually,“ says Teresa. “This new collection is therefore, like the Sharifahs, quirky, colourful, dainty and elegant.”
“This is a celebration of all sisters. Sisters who work together, stay together,” she says, adding that she and Kim were drawn to the Sharifahs because of their close bond.
The SharifahSistersXByThian launch will be held at Define: Food in The Boulevard, Mid Valley City on December 6, 2019 at an exclusive sitdown luncheon preview.

Monarch Butterfly Earring
I was inspired by the Monarch Butterfly’s journey for hibernation because every year millions of Monarch Butterflies make the 4000km journey for hibernation. How they manage to find the exact path to their hibernation spot every time amazes me. Fragile wings and a short life span are no match for an indestructible will.
Ladybug Earring
The lady bug never fails to lift my spirit. I tend to find them by surprise and when I do I am in awe that such a tiny creature can almost appear from anywhere. Considered to be a lucky bug in some cultures I would like to think my ladybugs will bring its owners happiness and luck too.

At the same time, Maxx ‘N Go also reached a regional strategic partnership with China’s Bean Capital in December last year to take advantage of the blockchain technology by combining decentralisation concepts with automotive after-sales services. TalentCap Social Media Innovation Conference to Benefit Startups to Gain Traction by Actionable Growth Hacks.
April 17, 2018 /PRWIRE.asia/ -- The TalentCap Social Media Innovation Conference is a tactical conference to be held on the 25-26th of April 2018 in Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The conference to benefit startups to gain traction by actionable growth hacks.
Participants shall discover how innovative global companies maintain their edge via social media marketing. The conference features practical, action-oriented social media marketing sessions from top leading experts and brands. Highlight includes a hands-on workshop by social media coach who has trained 200+ start-ups in the Silicon Valley, US.
The Social Media Innovation Conference is targeted towards key decision makers and Clevels within companies from all industries, covering 20+ different tactical areas of social media which includes everything from video marketing, social media ROI, chatbots, usergenerated content to data and analytics.
Growth hacking is all about growing your user base quickly. More often than not inexperienced entrepreneurs will sit down with their idea, create a decent website, and generate some local press, and say, “if we build it they will come.” It doesn’t happen that way. Eventually the social media consistency dies off, the free PR stops running, the website remains static, and your startup is left dead in the water.
Limited resources put startups in a position where they need to find solutions to these shortcomings, often unconventional ones. Desperation leads to innovation. Exactly for this reason, the term of “growth hacking” centered on creativity and the use of unconventional methods to achieve rapid and spectacular growth. It does not involve reinventing the wheel, but rather the use of already popular concepts and practices in a unique way that attracts attention and facilitates rapid dissemination. Products such as Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube are often given as examples of growth hacking.
The conference feature includes a deep dive workshop facilitated by Sweta Patel, a renown trainer who has coach more than 200 startups in the Silicon Valley, US. At the conference, Sweta facilitates the workshop topic “How B2B and B2C Use Instagram to Win New Customers.”
Sweta will share about the step-by-step method of exactly how she grew her Instagram account from 13 to 80,000 followers in one year. If done the right way, Instagram can be used to generate leads which will later convert into paying customers. The workshop highlights numerous actionable insights on Instagram hacks that can save you time and money.
Sweta highlights, “Social media has increased the discovery for my business and without it I would not be able to gain the reach I would need to ensure my brand is reputable. It helped discover new ways to reach a mass audience without doing so much. Last year I was able to generate over $400,000 through my social media channels. This is why it is important to use these channels wisely so you are able to gain the reach you need to reach your objectives.”
Sweta remarks, “The most common mistakes in social media revolve around this concept of “faking it til you make it.” Businesses are buying likes, comments, and followers without any real strategy to back it up. When a business does this, it makes them look even worse than they would without a strategy. The strategy should focus on helping a business grow real fans- It’s not about the followers. It’s about touching people and making them feel as if they are a part of your brand. What are you doing to make them feel involved? If you make your customers and your fans the heroes of your brand, then you will win.”
When asked about the biggest challenges for social media marketers, Sweta underlines, “Building and growing an organic audience. This remains a challenge because most of the experts do not know what they are doing when it comes to audience building and no one knows their audience better than the business owner themselves. When they are able to tap into their audience’s secret desires, then they will be able to capture the audience’s interest. At this point they understand their audience better than the audience understands themselves. One way of focusing on building an audience is to start small and then focus on scaling up. When you start small you are able to make a bigger impact and share your message through word of mouth.”
Sweta concludes, “You can’t fake it til’ you make it on social media. If you take shortcuts, you will fail faster.”
The conference brings together speakers from Google, LinkedIn, Mindvalley, Axiata, GoCar, and more. Keynote speaker Cally Lo, Regional Account Manager at LinkedIn highlights, “In an era where companies are pushing to increase their interconnectivity with customers, partners and general interests, social media has opened an avenue for more authentic access to individuals that they wish to target. The impact of this wave of streamlined information trading has allowed an increase in transactions, innovation, competition and expansion.”
When asked about the biggest challenges for social media marketers, Cally underlines, “Being one of the same. The market is booming with marketers running different strategies. It is challenging during these times, but imperative.”
Keynote speaker Pankaj Khushani, Head of Analytics & Platform Partnerships, SEA, Google presents the topic, “Data Driven: The Role of Social Media in Performance Marketing.”

And it’s not limited to just marketing. Customer service, recruitment, employer branding and other departments are taking a stake in social, too. This is helping to increase social media’s importance in the organization and spur hiring. Social media is a must-have nowadays, and not a nice-to-have.”
Keynote speaker Vadim Fink, Head of Marketing at Mindvalley presents the topic “How to use Video on Social Media to drive REAL Business Results.” Vadim highlights, “Social Media is no longer something any business can overlook. Today’s AI is becoming increasingly complex and functional.”
Keynote speaker Alan Cheah, Chief Executive Officer of GoCar presents the topic “Team Culture: How to Align Team Culture to Your Marketing Strategy.” Alan highlights, “Apart from strategies, marketing tools, and knowledge; team culture plays a huge part in leading the marketing direction for GoCar. The team’s values, passion, and vision for GoCar dictates how we choose to pursue certain partnerships, what kind of digital campaigns to run, which community events to organise, and how we communicate with our users. Once we have that aligned, it’s clear to see how we managed to grow the company from 5 GoCars in 5 locations in 2016 to 180 GoCars in 80 locations in 2017. It all begins with the team culture.”
